I grew up in a church in Flint my whole life but I spent most of that time doubting that God loved me. I spent most of my life hanging out with the wrong crowd and doing things I should not have done. I struggled with who I was. People often spoke unbiblical and unkind things to me. This affected how I began to look at myself. At this point in my life, I felt worthless and truly felt as if I had no value. Why would God be interested in someone like me?  At the age of 17, I finally began a true relationship with Christ. I experienced Christ’s goodness and presents for the first time and it was AMAZING!

About three years after becoming saved God called me to ministry. I accepted a position at the church where I grew up as the youth director. Here is where I found my passion not only for ministry but also for people who see no value in who they are. I have a passion for the homeless, people with addiction, and the individuals others find hard to love. I want to teach the people that the world has discarded that they have value, that they are wanted, they are loved, and Christ can change their lives if they would let Him. I am continuing to take classes towards becoming a pastor.

On a more personal note, I was born in 2000. I grew up in Flint my whole life. I am the second oldest of four kids. I have an amazing nephew and a beautiful niece. I grew up thinking I was going to be a vet tech but God had other plans. I am a huge people person, I love to make new connections with others. I love hanging out with friends whether that’s at a sporting event, concert, watching a movie, or just plain hanging out (but usually causing a ruckus somewhere). I love exploring new things, places, and food. I love all animals from the smallest tarantulas to the largest giraffes. My dream is to have a large cattle farm one day. I am so excited about where God leads me next.
